First-time puppy owners, mainly. It’s written for people who are either seriously considering a puppy, have one reserved, or have just brought one home and are finding it harder than expected. It’s also a genuinely useful gift for someone about to take the plunge.
If you’ve raised several puppies already, you’ll know most of it.

No. It’s practical guidance from experience, written in plain English. It doesn’t replace your vet, and it won’t substitute for a qualified behaviourist if you’re dealing with a serious behavioural problem. It will tell you when it’s time to call one.
